Letter hand written to me from Dad after open heart surgery August 14,1999

My Dad did not write many letters himself, he always had Mom write what he needed. He was born left handed and told me in school the teacher's forced him to write right handed. He struggled with this all his years in school and the rest of his life. He could not write cursive at all he would print. He could sign his name in cursive. He finished 9th grade and then was needed at home to help his Mother with his younger brother and sister's. His father had passed away when he was 10 years old. He joined the Navy when he was 17 years old. I cherish and honor this letter from my Dad.
