Family Pictures?

"Maybe it’s sad that these are now memories. And maybe it’s not sad"

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.

Marilyn and Mom

Mom, no one has to tell me how lucky I was to have you, because I knew this for a long-long time. When I think back over the years and remember all the special things you did for me, I certainly was blessed! You taught me so much about life when I had Shelley and those are lessons I’ll never forget. You welcomed us when we needed a home and I will always be grateful you cared. You always told me I must have “Fortitude” and that showed me how to stand on my own in this world, for that too I will always be grateful. I was lucky “GOD” gave “ME’’ to “YOU” - I could have looked the whole world through and I never would have found another “MOTHER” like you. “I LOVE YOU MOM WITH ALL MY HEART”!

Sincerely, Your Loving Daughter, Marilyn

Mom, I remember you EVERY DAY! But especially on your SPECIAL days!

My Everything Mom

How did you find the energy, Mom

To do all the things you did,

To be teacher, nurse and counselor

To me, when I was a kid.

How did you do it all, Mom,

Care for the house, cook and be a friend,

Yet find time to be a playmate,

I just can’t comprehend.

I see now it was love, Mom

That made you come whenever I'd call,

Your inexhaustible love, Mom

And I thank you for it all.

Thanks Mom! It's your fortitute speach that gets me though each day!

Memories of Mom

If anyone has a memory of Mom-please share with us today-her birthday. I want to see how many memories we can get. It can be as simple as Marty remembering helping Mom in the early mornings when we stayed at the house at Main St. when he was little.

The Value of Time

Barbara sent me this is a group email today-I had heard it before and always wanted to find it again.

To realize

The value of a sister/brother

Ask someone

Who doesn't have one.

To realize

The value of ten years:

Ask a newly

Divorced couple.

To realize

The value of four years:

Ask a graduate.

To realize

The value of one year:

Ask a student who

Has failed a final exam.

To realize

The value of one month:

Ask a mother

Who has given birth to a premature baby..

To realize

The value of one week:

Ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.

To realize

The value of one minute:

Ask a person

Who has missed the train, bus or plane.

To realize

The value of one-second:

Ask a person

Who has survived an accident.

Time waits for no one.

Treasure every moment you have.

You will treasure it even more when

You can share it with someone special.

To realize the value of a friend or family member:

The origin of this letter is unknown,

But it brings good luck to everyone who passes it on.

The Evans Family Butler Mo. 1946

Mom, Dad and Barbara are on the left side of this picture. Front row L-R Barbara with Dad, Mom standing behind Dad. This is Mom's family, her parents Robert and Amy Miller-Evans (kneeling in front row with spot the dog) her Aunt Corey (older lady in middle row with glasses beside her is Uncle Johnny, Grandpa Evans brother) and all Mom's brothers and sisters. To bad they did not put all the tall people in the back, can't see all the people just little faces peering through. I wonder who took this picture?
